contact adhesive labels usually consist of three basic elements:

  • the upper material,
  • the layer of adhesive on its back, and
  • the backing material,

on which the label remains until it is removed prior to use. High-quality basic materials are judiciously selected and processed for producing the labels in line with the user’s requirements.

The labels most commonly used for hand-held labellers are self-adhesive ones made of papers or plastics, e.g. from polyethylene or polyester. Depending on the requirements of the market involved, contact manufactures and supplies adhesive materials matched to the product surfaces and the applicational environments concerned (indoors or outdoors, for instance).
